It really does exist! Maybe! The famed chupacabra has apparently been found, and it's a Texan.

Or at least it was. The beast is now dead, but news of its capture near Blanco, Texas, inspired Bigfoot-sized searches. Lookups on "chupacabra" surged a whopping 571%, and related queries on "what does chupacabra mean" also roared. (For the record, its rough translation is "goat sucker.") The find also inspired renewed interest in the equally notorious Montauk Monster.

Jerry Ayer, owner of Blanco Taxidermy School, has possession of the mythical beast's body. According to CNN, the animal was discovered by one of Ayer's students. The student had "placed poison...to catch an unidentified animal that had gotten into a family member's barn." Little did the student know the animal in question was (maybe) the chupacabra.

In the video from CNN (which is pretty gross, so beware), Ayer shows off some of the unusual features of the animal, including abnormally long legs and teeth. It looks a bit like the world's ugliest (and meanest) dog.

Of course, this is hardly the first time someone has claimed to have captured the chupacabra. In years past, brave souls have spotted it in places ranging from Russia to Maine to the Philippines. Often the animal is spotted by folks who conveniently forget to snap a photo.

Not so this time. Ayer says he plans to preserve the animal and then donate it to a local museum so it can be enjoyed by others. As the taxidermist puts it, the beast is "a tremendous conversation piece." Sort of like the Mona Lisa or a really stellar collection of garden gnomes.

So wise - the trick is teaching the dog to just get the blood out of the animal. Several things have been trapped while looking for the creature. Coyotes and dogs with the mange . There could be more to the story, unless the animal owners are drinking the blood. But if a "sportsman" can't gun it down- who'd believe it. Note the police dash cam film toward the end of the entry. Guess he was trying to get on disability cause he was crazy to admit to this.

In August 2007, Phylis Canion found three animals in Cuero, Texas. She and her neighbors reported to have discovered three strange animal carcasses outside Canion's property. She took photographs of the carcasses and preserved the head of one in her freezer before turning it over for DNA analysis.[12] Canion reported that nearly 30 chickens on her farm had been exsanguinated over a period of years, a factor which led her to connect the carcasses with the chupacabra legend. State Mammologist John Young estimated that the animal in Canion's pictures was a Gray Fox suffering from an extreme case of mange. In November 2007, biology researchers at Texas State University?San Marcos determined from DNA samples that the suspicious animal was a coyote.[13] The coyote, however, had grayish-blue, mostly hairless skin and large fanged teeth, which caused it to appear different from a normal coyote.[14] Additional skin samples were taken to attempt to determine the cause of the hair loss.[13]
On January 11, 2008, a sighting was reported at the province of Capiz in the Philippines. Some of the residents from the barangay believed that it was the chupacabra that killed eight chickens. The owner of the chickens saw a dog-like animal attacking his chickens.[15]
On August 8, 2008, a DeWitt County deputy, Brandon Riedel, filmed an unidentifiable animal along back roads near Cuero, Texas on his dashboard camera.[16] The animal was about the size of a coyote but was hairless with a long snout, short front legs and long back legs. However, Reiter's boss, Sherrif Jode Zavesky, believes it may be the same species of coyote identified by Texas State University?San Marcos researchers in November 2007. [17]
In September 2009, CNN aired a televised report showing what may be the first video footage of a specimen of the chupacabra up close. A taxidermist who resides in Texas set out some traps on his property, and later found a dead animal which resembles some descriptions of a chupacabra. [18]

I'm just reffering to the one in the story that jr posted. Nothing in that story was ever said about blood being drained from anything. It just says they put out poison to catch something that had gotten into the barn. What that taxidermist has in the video looks exactly like the pic of the dog I posted.

Mike: that looks like a hairless dog as well, could be peruvian or mexican there are many different colors not just the dark one I posted.

I'd have to see one to think it was real, but something is killing stuff course you also have the cattle that are being cut up with surgical tools in some places. Makes fun reading.
